Quartzite and Marble

Quartzite is natural stone made of harder and denser rocks that were once sandstone. It has his own features such as veining and textures which are polished and leathered. Quartzite does require a bit more maintenance and that is why it is important to seal the stone to continue to have the luxurious look. Each slab is unique and can resemble other natural stones.

Marble is made up of metamorphic rock. The pores on marble are wide open which can ultimately cause staining that is why it's not recommended for kitchen use. Like the quartzite, it's important to seal the marble countertop to maintain that luxury look and feel of it. Marble can be affordable, but it can also be on the pricier side such as the Calacattas and Statuarios. Overall marble is another great option when choosing countertops, just make sure it is right for you.
